LOCATIONS
The Army Air Corps/Army
Air Forces/US Air Force usually did not provide detailed locations in
aircraft accident reports.
The location provided most often consisted of the base where the accident
occured or the nearest base/town, distance
and direction. While a few maps showing the exact locations can be found
in these files, most often it is only a general
location. Clues to the location can often be found within the narrative
of the reports.
